So, I ask what does it really mean if they find it? Does it mean that God made it? I mean after all that is the question I would ask. So, how do you know that God did not make the God Particle and that is how he formed Heaven and Earth?
Just starting this book but it seems to be a book that might help to build a bridge for Jewish and Christian communities to at least understand each other better. It would for sure help them communicate better and to be more cognizant of how what they say would be looked upon by the other party. It shows the fears and phobias of both and helps to erase the imaginary boundary between individuals and communities that sometime exist because of misunderstanding. Five Stars so far it is wonderful and I cannot wait to hear the lectures on this book.
The introduction of this book states a thesis that the author will try to clear up the myths intertwined in National Myths and academic history, the geo-political and unintentional misinterpretation that has come from not understanding ancient Jewish Hellenistic history, and distortions that have arisen in some historical discussions between the Middle Eastern and Sephardic Jews in modern Jewish History. This book is a history of the Jewish People, not of Judaism although it has been utilized in a few places in the book when it was indiscernible from the historical facts. Although, I have just started reading this book. It is very interesting, so far and I am on chapter 4. I like the analysis. More later.......
This link will take you to the New York Times story about the "Work Sets You Free" sign that was stolen: www.nytimes.com/2009/12/21/world/europe/21auschwitz.html. Sigh, five men were found in northern Poland with the sign this morning. They were taken into custody and then taken to Krakow for questioning. The Krakow police are in charge of the investigation. I personally think that the Jewish, Polish, Gyspy, and all other families that had loved ones die there should be put in charge of the questioning. Perhaps that is not feasible, but I do believe we should get answers. I personally want to know why they stole it!
In the video that I have in my collection called "Last Days" there is a Jewish woman that goes to Aschewitz to try and find the information about what happend to her family. She got some paperwork from the offices there and took them to a German doctor that was actually at Aschewitz during World War II. She asked him what does that mean? He had a little smile on his face as he contentedly told her that "it was the normal time." When they arrived these people knew thier fate. They knew that they would have three months of hard labor and then they would be killed!
By the way,
is out on Blue-Ray today! : )
But, if you seriously want to understand some more on Polish/Jewish Relations the following books would be a good source for the information. They have been Dr. Krome approved who is a Jewish Historian at the University of CIncinnati. Here is his vox blog site for any that are interested in looking over his book collection. I always go through it when I am going to go buy a new book on Jewish History. I will be focusing on the Jewish American Experience for my Senior Seminar. http://frustratedhistorian.vox.com/
This is my ride home today from going to the eye doctor one exit down from my neighborhood (boring suburb). As you can see it is very wide. So, the next photo I am going to show you is the center of the highway that is four lanes wide.
See the center of the highway. My plan says we should knock out the center with those two huge cement walls and the two lanes on each side. Now this is where I need comments because I want to know could we have a train there?
Our bus rides are horrible. You go to get on the bus and you are stuck standing the whole 35 minute ride to Cincinnati, Ohio from Mason, Ohio. Also, it was not safe because I had to stand on the stairs where the door was. Perhaps I am paranoid but I am a rather small female and I could just imagine a couple of the people in front of me falling backwards when the bus jostled and me flying out the door. So, the bus did not work. There is not enough room on the bus each morning and people actually have to go get in their cars and drive down after waiting on the bus sometimes.
The reason why it is really horrible to wait on the bus and then have to drive is that the bus can get in the suicide lanes and go through traffic; however, us mortals that failed to find a place to stand, squeeze, or sit on the bus will be late because we have to sit and wait in the traffic so it is either plan to drive and leave early so you can get there on time or go wait on the bus and take your chances. Moreover, I do not know about your employers or college professors but mine do not like it when you walk in late. So, I propose we put a train in so I can sit down and read the whole 20 minute trip because since this is Kim's day dream, this train is going to be fast. After all, it has to be better than the gravel roads that Wisconsin is now putting in since they cannot afford to fix their roads.
So, here is a picture of my new ride.
Oh, yeah and here is where I will be sitting and not standing! (Picture below) Note for single women, all the cool romantic scenes happen on trains in European movies. : ) I am happily married, but hey anything to help my little day dream come true.
Then my view could be this!
But, I think my pictures show many advantages. You could save time, do work, and relax on the train ride. Railways do not need repaired as often as roads. The trains system could do some of the work of the big semi-trucks at night when there are not as many passengers. We could use the trains for overnight mail so we do not have to have all those big semi trucks all over the highways. Another picture : ) Well, I had a picture of a huge overnight express mail truck but I cannot get it to upload nor would my scenic mile and a half view of car dealers which I get to see on the side of the highway on my way home. I was thinking that could be destroyed and we could plant trees and benches in where it is at. The final assessment of all of these great things that could come of my new train from Mason to Cincinnati is a more greener tomorrow!
Next up is this question? Why do I need 4 hardware stores within 5 miles of my house and three Super Walmarts? When I moved here there were corn fields. Now we have over development! At least there is a farmers market at Mason Middle School on the weekends when weather persmits.
This video was brought to my attention by a vox friend http://jebuff.vox.com/. Bill Maher does make some valid points in this video. But, there is one part in it where I feel as an informed citizen he does not do the subject justice. I for one have no problem with doctors removing stem cells from an adult or using a left over umbiblical cord. However, I do have very strong feelings against the use of the third source they wish to use and that is the unborn fetus. They may call it a dot, a non human or whatever, but the fact is that if they would not remove the egg than the egg would grow into a baby, the baby into a child and then the child will grow to adolescents and eventually become an adult. That sounds like a human to me!
I am also against cloning so that people can do test on the clones. The reason I am against it is because it is my belief that every person has rights and if in fact they are making another person just like the other one that is suppose to have rights ??? than what makes it different? Nothing they have just figured out how to make an adult is the answer, so if it does reach this pennacle I am against using any person for testing whether it be a person that is born as a child or made into an adult! This is something I do not think they should do, myself. I think it will be a sad experience if it ever happens. By the way, I have no problems with them cloning cows for me to eat. Steak is very tasty!
So, on to the environment. There are so many easy ways we in the US could start out, i.e. take away plastic and paper bags in the grocery store and make cloth madatory, require recycling more and get rid of the trash dumps, put in more public transit options (I want Frances trains!), the list could go on and on. Did I say I would really like a train system? The amount of money we spend on our extensive highway and road system is pettiful.
And the last topic I would like to broach are the real reasons why America sought to become independent. It is a big topic so I am going to suggest a book. I also want to say that the reason why each individual wanted independence depended on where that individual was at geographically. I believe there were more than one reason for their decision to declare independence. And by the way, the consitution cloaks their ability to keep slaves safe for many years until President Lincoln comes along.
For the next two quarters, I will be taking my Senior Seminar Series. This two quarter class at the University of Cincinnati will teach the student how to do research on a subject that in the end will produce a paper of about 50 pages. I am very excited that I will be graduating soon and have very much enjoyed my studies at the University of Cincinnati. In my studies, I feel like I have been drawn to those groups of people throughout history that have experience any kind of hardships, oppression, and/or genocide. I have done major research on Native Americans, the Irish, day workers and Printers in the US, along with the Jewish People World Wide. I have also read on France and their Revolution and how it affected different genders and classes within that country. I have read on the beginnings of the United States and their Revolution. I have studied about Industrial Revolution and the process of Urbanization in England, France, and the United States. I have read in depth about Slavery in several countries; however, I am most familiar with in the United States and amongst the Native American Groups throughout that continent. I have studied governmental processes to convert whole societies into communism or National Socialist. I have read on the Seven Year War and on Military Strategy, along with the affects on the soldiers of the modern war. I also read on Trench Warfare. I feel my History Degree has given me an in depth view of Society from the top down.
What happend to war being a declared action? Why is it now the people have no control? When will the war be over? The US public is less informed about where and what our soldiers are doing now more than ever! What I would really like to see is a more informed public! I think what our American Soldiers are doing is vastly more important than the death of a Pop Star like Michael Jackson! I welcome comments! and will leave you with this question, is the war over:?
Be aware! Don't let this happen again! These are pictures from the ghettos of Budapest in the Final Solution period of Hitler! No race is the problem, No religion is the problem, Please don't let this happen again!
